Welcome!
It is my
goal to develop an online resource for paddlers of the
Northwest that gives them up-to-date trip info,
beautiful photography, and quality information about the
rivers they are running. This site is being built to give
back to the whitewater community that has given me so much.
Every day that I go on the river, I keep track of what
the river is like, any hazards I encounter, and anything
I wish I had done differently. Hopefully you will
take my experiences, learn from my mistakes, and then
make your own (experiences, that is...).
Spring is in
the air and we are gearing up for a huge season here in
the great Pacific Northwest. Snow pack is ranging
from 110-130% of normal on the important mountain
passes, and it hasn't even started to melt yet! By
comparison, last year we were at 10% and the snow was
all gone by the first week of May. It will be an
epic season. Also of note, my site recently had
its 1,000 visitor. I'm glad to see so many people
are using the site and hope you are finding the beta
useful. I'd love to start hearing from visitors,
so feel free to drop me a line if you have suggestions
or improvements.
I strive to
get on the water as much as possible. I am going
to use this site as a way to hold myself accountable to
that goal, and to track my development as a kayaker.
I genuinely
hope to see you on the river.
