Screen Printing
t-shirts and more
ASUPS maintains a thermal-imaging screen printing process
that is open for use by any official ASUPS club or organization. The
equipment is stored in the attic of the Student Diversity Center (SDC) at 3211 N
15th. In order to use the machine with your group, just follow the three
easy steps below:
Step 1: Schedule a Time
Check the calendar for times that the
machine is available for use. Then, contact the SDC Coordinators at
diversitycenter@ups.edu to reserve a time that
is best for you. When you receive confirmation, print it out and head to
Step 2.
Step 2: Confirm a Production Plan
Download and complete a
Production Plan. You will need to specify
how many items you will be printing, how many color screens you will use, and
the design you will be working with. The cost of using the machine will be
determined based on these predictions. Once your design and plan are
complete, print two copies
of the form and bring them to your appointment
confirmation to the
ASUPS Publicity Office in Wheelock 205.
Your account will be billed ahead of time with your anticipated cost (see
production plan form for details).
Step 3: Print!
Bring your signed Production Plan, blank
t-shirts or other media, and a crew ready to work to the Student Diversity
Center at the arranged time. An SDC coordinator will let you into the room
and show you the basics of the equipment. (Check out a more detailed
tutorial
here). After you are done, don't forget
to clean up! Your workspace will be checked after you leave, and any additional
charges will be billed to your club's account.
