Scholarship Guidelines

RDG is offering one $250 scholarship to one member of Repertory Dance Group to use to pay for dance education over a school break.  The money can be used towards dance conventions or dance classes at a studio.  Requirements for application are outlined below:

  • Applicant must be a sophomore or junior and have participated in RDG for at least two semesters.

  • Applicant must submit a typed essay (no longer than 200 words) to the RDG mailbox (next to ASUPS offices upstairs in Wheelock Student Center) in an identifying sealed envelope by May 1, 2006 explaining why they would like to receive the scholarship and how they plan on using it.  The applicant must not indicate that they are or ever have been a choreographer and/or officer for Repertory Dance Group.

  • The applicant must not indicate their name but provide their student ID number as identification in order to eliminate any bias of the scholarship decision committee.

  • The applicant who is chosen to receive the scholarship will be contacted through campus email at which point they must indicate where they would like the money allocated (i.e. a dance studio in their area).

  • Any applicant that does not follow the above guidelines will be made ineligible to receive the scholarship.

  • Any questions regarding the application procedure may be directed to rdgalumni@gmail.com
