The Breakfast Club
|
The purpose of the Breakfast Club is to provide an opportunity for the campus community to learn about and discuss current events. The club is designed for people who would like to know more about what is going on in the world, but don't have the time to sufficiently keep up with it all.
We meet every Thursday at 8:30am in SUB 101. You do not need to be a "member" to come to meetings, they are for anyone and everyone who's interested! They usually last 50 minutes to an hour, and please feel free to come for as much or as little of the meeting as you can!
At each meeting a prearranged speaker (usually a professor) presents a topic that he or she is intersted in. The meetings are informal and designed for both listeners and people who would like to discuss the issues.
Why the BREAKFAST CLUB? Because we want to welcome you to bring your breakfast to the meetings. MULTITASKING! :o)
If you are a professor or student and would like to speak at the Breakfast Club, please email Amelia at asattler@ups.edu.

UPSStageM! (University of Puget Sound Stage Musicals)
|
UPSStageM! (University of Puget Sound Stage Musicals) is a student organization dedicated to the performance, study, and appreciation of musicals. As an organization we seek to give students opportunities to perform selections from musicals, endeavoring to create one showcase presentation each semester. Students have the choice of performing, playing an instrument, directing or assisting in all aspects of the stage.
UPSStageM! also views musicals (both movies and live performance) and encourages the discussion and study of the selected works. Students also have the opportunity to participate in special workshops and discussions and about musicals with faculty and experts. UPSStage M. seeks to open up the world of musicals to the campus audience and in doing so promote community, education, and experience through art.
UPSStageM! was founded in the Fall of 2004. It's first production, "A Night on Broadway" involved 20 students in the cast, crew, and production staff. This last Spring, UPSStageM! produced "From Page to Stage" which involved over 55 performers, directors, choreographers, and crew members. The performance showcased solos, duets, and ensemble numbers from musicals that were based on novels, poems, and plays. Today UPSStageM! has grown to over 144 members.
Please Browse our website for awesome pictures and join our discussion boards to communicate with other musical theater fans!
