ASUPS: Serving you since 1903

Welcome to the student government section of the ASUPS web site. We are the Associated Students of the University of Puget Sound, a student government with a long and proud history in Tacoma, Washington. Since 1903, our elected and appointed staff members have provided oversight for a massive student government and large programming events like the recent Everclear concert. We have also supported and funded the publishing of rich media content like 90.1 The Sound (KUPS), our student-run FM radio station and Praxis Imago, a student film organization. We would stop at nothing to show support for our more than 80 clubs and organizations, many of which acquire a yearly budget from ASUPS.

Our student government is broken out into three branches: the executive branch, including the President, Vice President, and Directors of Business, Technology, and Publicity; the legislative branch, composed of the ASUPS senate; and the judicial branch, embodied by our very own Honor Court. Each of these branches works to provide students with a voice in how their money is spent within ASUPS and across the university by holding regular elections and convening committees on various topics like food and safety, and technology.
